Hello, hello. I'm about ready to crash. Every single week exhausts me more and more. Soon enough I'll be drinking as much coffee as Nicole Tracy to stay awake. Basically, I'm annoyed because my week has sucked. And now my weekend is going to be full of reading books/plays of "literary merit." Happy, happy, joy, joy. On a happier note, for those of you who haven't heard, Watkins wife is having a boy. Very cool. And from the sonogram (sp? right term?) It's got the same huge forehead as Watkins. Haha. It'll be cute. Ok, so that's my story for this annoyingly frustrating day. Ciao!
hi kids. im listening to market 'six-eight.' spacey girl voiced music. hope everyones having some fun on this lovely friday afternoon.
My name is Jonas.... No it isn't. You can see my real name below. The BBQ was nice last night... so was driving into a crowd of Koreans and saying "Frank's here everybody, Everybody, Frank's here." Sigh.
REMINISCING IS HEARTACHE
im an idiot, and so...

from memory, starting...now

yester i had the old fhs types over for a barbecue. it proved to be a delightful time; it also proved to be a late night. after taking people to their apartments and broomball appointments, going back to retrieve my wallet, hanging out for a while, it was one o clock and i simply wasnt tired. so i decided to walk the dog, do the online thing, play snood, play a game of computer chess (i suck, even though ive been (i confess dont think me dork) reading books) playing guitar, i still wasnt tired. so at 3:30 i decided to start carving a pumpkin. if it works out, ill put a pic of it on my updated web site, if i ever update it. someday maybe. i hollowed and carved until 5:30 when i decided it was time to go to school. so i took the dog out for another walk and got myself off to the bus stop. i must have just missed the bus, so i decided to keep carving my pumpkin while i sat at the stop. i ended up getting to school about 6:45 this morning. why so early you ask?

because i wanted to be first in line to get incubus tickets for november 28 here at ucsd. well, i was second in line. and there were only three of us in line until 9 this morning. but it all paid off cus promptly at 10, i was the first cat to walk away from either of the two ticket windows with a pair of tickets for the show. if my lack of sleep werent causing me to be in such a lull, (sigh) i'd be jumping for joy.

but i am extatic. did i spell that word wrong, cus it looks funny.
i stopped by the radio station today to see if i can get a spot. it looks like i can. i was trained on some things and they will call me to schedule an appointment for further training. im like two training sessions away from playing music on the radio. check it out at www.ksdtradio.org it think. ill let you know if and when i get on. not like anyones really reading this anyway. but thats okay, cus no one listens either. the studio also has a recording room where people, even i, could make cd quality recordings. which brings me to my beef:

why cant i write lyrics to fit the music i write? this is getting frustrating. ive got pretty much four or five songs, at least basic progressions and i am incapable of fitting lyrics to them. whats lacking? why can i not find the inspiration to write? arg. perhaps lifes getting too routine. do you ever feel that way? like a week passes and there seems to have been little creativity of substance? the humor keeps me going, but i need the substance. loving life, but dissatisfied. someone, please, ask me provocative questions. get me thinking and living again.

well, i think im starting to get the hang of this school thing. you see, teachers assign homework, THEN you do it! sheesh, i wish i knew about this in high school and college. yessiree, i finished my first homework assignment of the quarter last night. ten problems and it only took me about five hours combined! heck, who knew grad school would be so easy.

well, hard to believe, but college students really do ride razor scooters (heeheehee). i was talking to a friend earlier and she said that she was tired of walking so much so i recomended the razor. she said that her books would keep her off balance. razor scooter industries, if youre out there, maybe we need a razor with a side car for the libros. just an idea. ill file it away with wonton perfume (still big in europe, btw), cheese glazers, stirrup pants for men, and multiplication table boxer shorts.
arg. classes are hard, thats for sure. i spent twenty minutes last night trying to do my first homework problem of my grad school career. after about 75 minutes i had only finished three and i was all worn out from working on the fourth one. what happened to the good old days of easy epsilon-delta proofs?

today i managed to figure out problem four. it wasnt too hard, just kept eluding me. now im stuck on number five. Curses!

ugh...im tired. started TAing today. fun, but four hours of talking and saying the same things over and over can wear one out. i did happen to notice today that a kid sitting in the first row of one of my sections, waiting for the section to start, wrote on his paper in the equivalent of little kid writing for high schoolers the following little diddy:

Math 20B Disussion

that was enough to make me smile.

i need to remember to go to the store tonight and buy three air freshners for the classroom where three of my classes (mwf classes) meet. there is an everpresent aroma of bad breath there and its beginning to affect my study habits.

i need to start studying. lets hope that some homework gets done tonight.
